Success Tips #224
The Search for Answers
Each of us has within us the desire as well as the capability of finding success in life. The key is to know how you are defining that success and how you are continually thinking about and acting on those beliefs that will bring your success from the realm of the possible to the reality of actual results.
Over the years there has been a nagging in my heart, that I have known all along what is necessary for me to achieve my life’s mission. At times, I have resisted and at other times I have listened, but failed to act with passion and resolve. For more years than I can remember I have been asking myself the simple question - why is my life turning out this way?
Is it - luck? Hard work? Arrogance? Ignorance? Good or bad choices or decisions. Knowledge? Contacts? Some deep seated desire or need that I am still not consciously aware of? Or something else that I have missed along the way? During my life I bet I have read no fewer than 500 books on; success, motivation, goals, destiny and so on. In each of them were answers to this question, but because that answer did not resemble the answer I was seeking, I moved on to the next book continuing my search.
I am getting closer to an answer but the search continues.
To date, here are my conclusions. I don’t know if they will work for you or if you are even interested, but here they are.
- We are where we have convinced ourselves we belong.
- We are where we need to be so we can learn how to be prepared for life’s next lesson.
- We are where God wants us.
- There are always opportunities to serve no matter where we are.
- How we use our mind is up to us. We can think with joy or sadness, optimism or pessimism, love or hate, gratitude or selfishness etc.
- We can’t out-smart the simple life rule that, all decisions have consequences. Some are positive, some negative. Some short term, others long term.
- We were put here for four reasons; to learn to love and accept love, to grow and share what we have learned with others who are in need or less fortunate.
I am sure that in the coming years there will be other learning and more questions as the searching continues, but for now this is where I am. How about you?
- Any nagging life questions?
- Found any answers yet?
- Are they the right answers or are they just appeasing your ego?
- Are you searching for answers or just wishing, hoping and dreaming?
- Are you accepting the answers with grace and gratitude?
